JUICE CLEANSE QUESTIONS
Cold pressed is the extraction method of juice made from fruits and vegetables without an external heat and oxidation process that breaks down healthy enzymes and nutrients. At Upbeet Juicery we make our juices with hydraulic pressure that allow our juices to stay ‘intact’ from an enzymatic and nutritional perspective. This leads to a more nutritious and tasteful experience for our customers and leaves the juice as is –the way mother nature intended it!
We are committed to using organically grown fruits and vegetables whenever possible but for seasonal freshness, we occasionally use non-organic ingredients grown by local farmers without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.
Creating and delivering a cold pressed juice of highest quality is not easy. Local, organic ingredients grown without unhealthy chemicals, pesticides and herbicides are all parts of our successful formula making sure our customers stay healthy and happy. We believe that our juices reflect those efforts and pristine quality in our pricing.
Yes, all of the above. Our juices are never heated up thanks to the hydraulic cold press machine we use. Our vegetables and fruits are never cooked before they get juiced down and are never put under high pressure processing (HPP) to avoid any factory-like method that strips the juice from most, or all, of its enzymatic live potency. To put it shortly, pasteurization and HPP is what inactivates the vegetative flora and kills off the healthy live organisms in juice that should be absorbed for optimal nutrition.
Juice of this high quality and method has a shelf life of 3 to 4 days. Therefore, your juice is made freshly and delivered the same day as you place your order and must be kept refrigerated. The expiration date is on the bottom of your bottle. We recommend that you drink your juice within that time*. *Nut/Oat milk last about 3 days, boosters about 5 days. * If a cleanse-kit has been ordered, we recommend you drink 7 juices per day (one juice per hour for 7 straight hours of your choice).
No, it does not. Cold pressed juicing means that all insoluble fibers, including fruit/veggie pulp, are eliminated to boost metabolism to naturally avoid any digestive slowdown. Instead, your body will absorb the juice’s nutrients, vitamins and minerals much faster, giving your body a quicker nutritious reaction.
Yes, if the juice is processed and has added sugar. Thanks to our hydraulic machine, the only sugar content in our juices is the one naturally occurring in the fruit itself. If you are on a strict no-sugar diet please drop us a short message in the comment section and we will leave any fruit containing sugar out of your juice.
Absolutely! We believe there are plentiful of benefits when fully or partially replacing anything from a lighter meal to a hearty meal with cold pressed juice!* Depending on your needs, you could replace a lunch here and there to boost anything from energy levels to metabolism. You can also do snack replacements to remove sugar and/or fatty snack ingredients from your daily habits. When you crave something sweet, pair it with a bottle of Limonanas or if you are in the mood for ‘salad-in- a-bottle’, have a sip of Greentensity. Obviously, when you are doing one of our cleansing packages the whole purpose of the cleanse is to avoid eating solid foods for 3,5 or 7 days – depending on the cleansing package of your choice.
*Diet modification depends greatly on the individual and should be transitioned to slowly. For optimal health, any major diet modifications should be discussed with your nutritionist and/or doctor first.
PH9+ is our super charged alkaline water drink, created by the help of our Kangen SD501 Enagic Machine (link). Thanks to its innovative technology, it filters tap water while boosting it with electrolytes to boost your pH intake. For all our non-juice products we use pH level 8.0 - 9.5, depending on product and purpose, to neutralize the acidity and boost your pH level – compared to the average ~ pH 7 from your tap water. In general, your body's pH level should be around 7.2 but certain things in your daily diet may be lowering that number, therefore making your body more acidic. When your body becomes acidic the nutrients and vitamins cannot be fully absorbed, putting your system out of balance. Although we aren’t doctors, we prefer using electrolyte water with a higher pH level as it helps to balance anything acidic you may end up drinking/eating throughout your day. For example soda, refined sugar, coffee or meats are all acidic and depending on eating habits, may alter your recommended pH-level. Our nut milks and lemonaids are made with alkaline water. We use the enagic system which is considered to have some of the best ionization technology on the market.
We are using BPA free plastic bottles.
Please recycle them to help us preserve this planet. We choose BPA free recycled plastic bottle for our juices because they are light weight, easy to carry around and when plastic loses its integrity, it can be recycled into a number of products unlike glass which can only be turned into more glass.

A juice cleanse is a natural, detoxifying and powerful way to reset eating habits, strengthen taste buds and kick start a healthy diet, free from chemicals and processed foods. By the help of organic and local, pesticide and herbicide free, fruits and vegetables you allow your body to absorb nutrients and healthy enzymes while temporarily eliminating solid foods. The positive results are varied depending on length of cleanse and temporary restriction management skills but should make your body feel better both internally and externally once completed.
It is safe as long as you check in with your doctor first to make sure your body is up for anything that exceeds occasional meal replacements. If you are taking prescription drugs and have a medical condition you should also consult with your doctor before proceeding with a juice cleanse. If you know your body you should know what's best for it. Our specific juice cleanses are not supervised, we are not medical practitioners and it is your choice to go ahead with it.
We offer 1-day to 3-day cleanses. We have a nutrient-rich selection but if you want to mix and match to tailor your own juice cleanse package you can do that too. When choosing the length of your cleanse make sure you and your body will be comfortable with it. If you are new to cleansing we recommend that you start with a shorter cleanse. We usually recommend a 3-day cleanse with a 2-5 day pre-cleanse.
A pre-cleanse is the precautionary method of gently preparing the body for a juice cleanse. As juicing means you temporarily avoid eating solid foods, the pre-cleanse step works as transitioning period where you refrain from eating heavy meals and opting for lighter meals, such as soups and salads. Find out which one of the below categories are the closest to your daily eating habits and select the appropriate length of your pre-cleanse.*
*This is not a medical advice and should simply be viewed as a recommendation based on feedback and experience by fellow juice enthusiasts to make your juicing experience as pleasant as possible.
Is your grocery basket full of leafy greens, fresh fruits and nuts? If you make your own dinner daily and never consume anything that has high fructose corn syrup in it, this is you. 2 days of pre-cleansing would be enough for you.
You are trying to keep up with your healthy diet but plan to go off the wagon for a couple of days or during the weekend. On those days you allow yourself anything from fast food to beer/soda and finish it off with some store bought fresh donuts. If this is you we recommend to do a 3-4 days pre-cleanse to acclimatize your body for the upcoming raw juice cleanse.
Your freezer is full of frozen foods, your shelf has lots of canned soups and your only fruit for a week comes from protein/energy bars. Your intake of fresh veggies and fruits are close to zero and the only beverages you drink are sweetened iced tea and soda. If this sounds like you, your system would most likely require a 5 days pre-cleanse to make sure you are feeling good once you start the 1 st day of your new healthy lifestyle (when you start juicing).
Cheetos on your left and French fries on your right? You are often found in the fast food drive through and have low energy with slow metabolism. Your body needs a vacation from these eating habits. First of all, CONGRATS on making the first towards a healthier life! Let's reset your system and be healthy again. A 6-7 day pre-cleanse would do your body very well to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible while juicing away your old lifestyle 🙂
Although it may sound harsh it is really quite simple! Drink about a gallon of water daily to stay hydrated and to reduce hunger. Cut back on caffeine and avoid alcohol. Both of these drinks are acidic and since our goal is to make your body more alkalized by the end of the juice cleanse, you should refrain from both. If you can't be without caffeine you should opt something milder such as tea with reduced caffeine such as green tea.Start introducing a couple of servings of fresh fruits and veggies into your diet. This will speed up your digestion and give you more energy. Check out our blog for weekly menu planners. Stop eating meat and dairy products. These are acidic and it's harder for your digestive system to work through it. Stop eating processed food and skip soda. These foods nutrition value are close to zero and will most likely make you hungry after a few hours. Choose your food from the fresh produce aisles.
Each juice cleanse package is priced based on the quantity of juices needed and range from $65 - $165 depending on the length of cleanse. Delivery is free when placing an order of $200 dollar or more.
Again, the answer to this question is entirely personal. More experienced juicers feel that a multiple-day cleanse each month, or even a single-day cleanse each week, helps them feel their best. Others prefer to cleanse once or twice per year. There is no right answer, but some experimentation can help you determine what’s right for you. If you are unsure, please discuss the options with your doctor to determine what is most suitable for your health.
You may lose a few pounds while cleansing but it is important to understand that we’re aiming for long-term health optimization. See this as a life-long adjustment where you detoxify your body, reset your system and leave bad habits behind you. A juice cleanse could provide so much more than just weight modification and that is what we want our customers to see.
Yes. There is a common misconception that you will spend the duration of your cleanse sprawled on a settee with cucumber slices over your eyes. This should not be the case. If you prepare yourself properly and ease into it, you should be able to go about your normal life. However, do schedule your cleanse at a time when you can listen to your body’s needs and follow them. Your busiest and most stressful week of the year would not be the ideal time for a cleanse!
The order in which the cleanse juices are listed is not arbitrary but there are some natural benefits of sticking to the order for proper energy boosting throughout your day. If you or your nutritionist/doctor feels that the order should be changed based on your own medical history, feel free to switch it up. Also feel free to ask us to exclude anything you may be allergic to.
Yes. Staying hydrated while cleansing is extremely important. You should drink water before each of your juices. In order to maximize the benefits of each juice, we recommend waiting forty minutes after finishing a juice before drinking more water.
As mentioned earlier, caffeine and alcohol are acidic and will prevent your system from fully cleansing. If you really need something to drink we suggest herbal teas with the lowest amount of natural caffeine intake – such as Green Tea.
Yes. It is important you stay active but it is equally important you remember that your stamina may be affected by temporarily cutting out solid food. As such, make sure you listen to your body. If you are uncertain, or take any medication, please discuss exercise during a juice cleanse with your medical practitioner.
It is certainly not dangerous to cleanse during winter but it may be a greater challenge for newbies because the juices should be kept refrigerated at all times. As such, your body would most likely get cold while drinking. If you would like to avoid a cold juice during winter, we suggest warm clothes and trying to be pro-activeness. Simply try to plan your juicing hours by taking a juice 30 minutes before drinking it. This way you can enjoy it without getting cold.
Completely up to you but we have found that it is easier to transition out of a cleanse the same way you entered it. In other words, your pre-cleanse days amount would be added following your cleanse to fully transition back to solid foods. I.e. 3 pre-cleanse days equal 3 post-cleanse days. That means that you try and avoid solid foods such as heavy meals, refined flours, processed food, alcohol, sugar, caffeine and dairy. There is no right and wrong here but gentle meals the first 24-48 hours following your cleanse is what we have found more tolerable for the digestive system. You can certainly switch it up or contact your doctor or nutritionist for dietary advice.
