What’s in YOUR water? (EWG’s tap water database)

Do you know what is in your tap water? Majority of us living in the United States have tap water linked with smaller doses of industrial and/or agricultural contaminants. Although quite obvious, it is important to state that any existing dose of contaminants in anything is never a good sign. In a perfect world, we should be able to use our tap water knowing no harm will come from it. In reality, and based on EWG’s Tap Water Database , there’s unfortunately reason to worry when looking at long-term health effects.

If you browse EWG.org’s tap water database you will learn it is a very useful and informative tool that quickly educates the user what is in your local drinking water. The database currently store information from close to 50,000 public water utility sources. All you need to do is enter your U.S. zip code, search, and all possible contaminants in your area will be listed with a brief explanation of what harm they could cause.

Majority of the contaminants you will find are linked with cancer, brain and nervous system damage, developmental defects, fertility problems or hormone disruption. At Upbeet Juicery we are well aware of the several local contaminants in our tap water and therefore stick to our Kangen Water Ionizer for clean, high alkaline, and contaminant protective abilities (chlorine) and is certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 13485 for quality control and environmental management, the Water Quality Association Gold Seal for product certification, and a member in good standing of the prestigious Direct Selling Association.

All our pH infused waters for cleansing and detoxification purposes are filled with water from Enagic Kangen Machine, equipped with a granulated activated carbon filter with antibacterial and mechanical calcium sulfite filtering capabilities.
